Ramagiri Sub-Inspector Sudhakar Yadav has issued a strong rebuttal to YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s provocative remarks stating he would “remove the uniforms” of police officers if he comes to power. In a video released to the public, SI Sudhakar questioned whether a police uniform is a banana peel that can be thrown away at will and warned Jagan to choose his words carefully.
SI Sudhakar stated that the police uniform was not something granted by Jagan or any political party. “This is a uniform we earned through years of struggle — by studying, running races, and clearing competitive exams. Thousands compete, and only a few make it. We wear this uniform with pride,” he declared. He affirmed that police officers would continue to perform their duties honestly and fearlessly, standing with the people and upholding the law.
Referring to the recent Ramagiri MPP elections, Sudhakar explained that the police force had deployed adequate security under the direction of the SP. Despite this, he said the elections were deliberately postponed and MPTCs were taken away to Rameswaram, raising concerns over political interference.
He further criticized YSRCP leaders for allegedly carrying weapons and provoking others, warning that intimidating lower-level employees like police officers could seriously endanger democratic processes. “Threatening government employees is not leadership. If fear is created among honest workers, democracy is at risk,” he said.
In conclusion, SI Sudhakar appealed to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, the Home Minister, and the DGP to take the matter seriously and extend reassurance and protection to all government employees facing political intimidation.
