Minister Manohar Holds Key Meetings in Delhi on Procurement and Export Plans
Minister Nadendla Manohar was busy on Tuesday in New Delhi, holding a series of high-level meetings to strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s procurement and food distribution systems. He first met Ashutosh Agnihotri, Chairman and Managing Director of the Food Corporation of India (FCI), and expressed gratitude for the support extended during the Kharif paddy procurement. The minister also discussed new initiatives being planned for farmers and rice millers in the upcoming Rabi season.
Later in the day, Minister Manohar met Anice Joseph Chandra, Managing Director of the National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation of India (NCCF). The discussion focused on procurement of millets and pulses, construction of godowns by Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS), and distribution of essential commodities through Rythu Bazaars and Fair Price Shops.
He stressed the importance of collaboration with NCCF to ensure price stability for key commodities and to explore export opportunities, especially rice exports through Andhra Pradesh’s ports. The meetings are part of the state government’s broader push to enhance food security, farmer welfare, and agri-based exports.
