Police Officers Association Slams Jagan Over Remarks on Police

Association demands YS Jagan immediately withdraw his controversial comments

President Srinivas Rao warns of legal action if no apology is issued

Strong resentment within police community over disrespectful remarks

The Andhra Pradesh Police Officers Association has expressed deep resentment over recent comments made by YSRCP Chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy about the police department. Association President Srinivas Rao strongly condemned the remarks and demanded that Jagan immediately withdraw his statements and offer a public apology.

In a press briefing, Srinivas Rao said the comments made by Jagan were highly objectionable and demoralizing to the entire police force. “These statements are not just irresponsible but also deeply disrespectful to the men and women who serve in uniform,” he stated.

The association warned that if Jagan fails to issue an apology and retract his statements, they will pursue legal action. “The police force has always functioned within the framework of the Constitution and law. Making such sweeping and derogatory allegations damages the morale of officers and weakens public trust in law enforcement institutions,” said Srinivas Rao.

He emphasized that no political leader has the right to malign the image of the police department for electoral gains or political narratives. “We are public servants, not political tools. Unfounded allegations must not go unchecked,” he added.

The remarks in question, reportedly made during a recent campaign speech, have stirred unrest within police circles across the state. Several officers, including those at senior levels, have reportedly expressed dissatisfaction and shock over the tone and intent of Jagan’s statements.

As the issue gains political and public attention, the Police Officers Association is standing firm in its demand, making it clear that such remarks will not be tolerated without accountability. The ball now rests in Jagan Mohan Reddy’s court as calls for an apology grow louder.
