MLC Vijayashanti and her husband Srinivas have reported receiving death threats from a man named Chandrakiran Reddy. According to the complaint filed by Srinivas at Banjara Hills Police Station, Reddy, who previously managed Vijayashanti's social media accounts during her tenure with the BJP, has been sending threatening messages demanding money.
Sources close to the couple revealed that Reddy was initially involved in handling Vijayashanti’s social media when she was with the BJP. However, after Vijayashanti joined the Congress, she distanced herself from Reddy, which reportedly led to a fallout. In retaliation, Reddy allegedly began sending harassing and threatening messages, demanding money in exchange for ceasing his actions.
Srinivas, in his complaint, stated that Reddy's threats have now escalated, with the individual threatening to harm the couple if his demands are not met. The police have registered a case under relevant sections and are investigating the matter. Authorities are taking the threat seriously and have assured the couple of their safety.
Political circles have been closely monitoring the situation, given Vijayashanti's prominence and the nature of the threat. The police are expected to take swift action to ensure the safety of the family while also probing the financial demands made by Reddy.
