In a significant development for Andhra Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the much-anticipated Amaravati construction works later this month. The announcement has created a buzz in political and administrative circles, signaling a major boost for the state capital's long-stalled development.

Sources revealed that the state government has begun full-scale preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit. Senior officials have been tasked with coordinating logistics and ensuring that the event proceeds without any hiccups. Instructions have been issued to departments concerned to ensure seamless arrangements for the high-profile occasion.

As part of these measures, a nodal officer has been appointed to oversee the functioning of the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA). The officer will ensure close monitoring of the groundwork and act as a key liaison between state and central agencies. The appointment comes in the wake of CM Chandrababu Naidu’s strong push to revive Amaravati’s capital development, which had stalled under the previous government.

Officials are also working on showcasing the progress made under the new administration and preparing detailed presentations for the Prime Minister’s review. Sources said the PM’s itinerary and the final date for the inauguration will be announced shortly, once the site and security arrangements are finalized.

PM Modi’s visit is being seen as a clear signal of the Centre’s support for Amaravati as the capital of Andhra Pradesh. Political analysts say it could also serve as a morale booster for the ruling alliance, as the capital's development remains a key issue for the people of the state.
