MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy Mocks Kakani with Sharp Satire over Silence
“You called me a tiger and hit your thigh… where are you now?”
“Said you wouldn’t run… but disappeared?”
“If jailed, your friend Vamsi will give you company”
Nellore Rural MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy launched a blistering satire on former minister and YSRCP leader Kakani Govardhan Reddy, questioning his sudden silence after past displays of bravado. Somireddy, known for his sharp political jibes, ridiculed Kakani’s past statements and suggested that his disappearance from the spotlight indicates fear of legal consequences.
Addressing media representatives, Somireddy said, “You called me a tiger and hit your thigh… where have you gone now?” referring to Kakani’s aggressive posturing during previous political confrontations. “You said you wouldn’t run away under any circumstance, that you’d stand and fight… then why this silence?” he questioned, directly challenging the former minister.
Somireddy didn’t stop there. In a mocking tone, he added, “If you go to jail, your friend Vallabhaneni Vamsi will be there. You won’t feel lonely.” The comment alludes to political speculation around pending legal troubles for Kakani and his close association with fellow YSRCP leader Vamsi, who is also under scrutiny.
The satirical remarks from Somireddy come amid increased political tension in Nellore district, where allegations and counter-allegations between TDP and YSRCP leaders continue to heat up. His comments are being seen as a direct provocation to force a response from Kakani, who has so far remained silent in recent weeks.
Political observers say this verbal attack is part of a broader strategy to highlight the legal issues faced by some YSRCP leaders while boosting the morale of TDP cadres ahead of upcoming political activity in the region.
