Telangana Govt Releases Funds for Bhadrachalam Temple Development

CM Revanth Reddy sanctions ₹34 crore

Minister Tummala pushes for release

Land acquisition to be fast-tracked

The Telangana government has released ₹34 crore for the development of the historic Bhadrachalam Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy sanctioned the funds following a request made by Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, who has been actively advocating for the temple’s infrastructural upliftment.

Minister Tummala thanked CM Revanth Reddy for his swift action and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to preserving and enhancing temple heritage. The sanctioned funds are expected to support various development works around the temple premises, including amenities for pilgrims and restoration of temple structures.

Alongside the fund release, the government has also directed concerned officials to expedite the land acquisition process required for expansion works surrounding the temple area. Officials have been instructed to complete acquisition and initiate developmental activities without delay.

The Bhadrachalam temple, located on the banks of the Godavari River, is one of the most revered shrines in Telangana. The current initiative is part of the broader push by the Congress-led government to boost spiritual tourism and revive historical and cultural landmarks across the state.
