BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has come down heavily on the Congress government, holding it responsible for the severe crop loss in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. During her visit to the dried crop fields in Tekulasomaram village of Valigonda mandal, Kavitha criticized the government’s inefficiency in managing irrigation resources.
Interacting with the farmers affected by the lack of water, Kavitha stated, “This is not a drought brought by time… it is a drought brought by the Congress government.” She expressed deep sorrow over the fact that crops had dried up just before the harvest stage, adding that the failure to supply water on time has devastated countless farming families.
“This situation has broken my heart. The Congress government, due to its lack of understanding and poor planning in water management, has pushed farmers into a crisis,” she said.
Kavitha assured the farmers that the BRS will not remain silent. She declared that her party will continue to stand by the farmers who have lost their crops and will fight until justice is served. She also warned the ruling Congress that it cannot escape accountability for this man-made disaster.
The visit comes as part of BRS’s growing campaign highlighting agrarian issues under the current regime and rallying support from affected communities across Telangana.
