Rohingya Influx Threatening Hyderabad's Security: BJP MP Raghunandan Rao
BJP MP raises concerns over illegal immigrants in Hyderabad
Claims influx of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis impacting law and order
Alleges UPA government compromised national security
BJP MP Raghunandan Rao expressed serious concerns in the Lok Sabha over the alleged security threat posed by illegal Rohingya immigrants residing in Hyderabad. Speaking during a discussion on the Immigration Bill on March 27, Rao claimed that the influx of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis is contributing to deteriorating law and order in the city.
He remarked that Hyderabad, formerly known as “Bhagyanagar,” is turning into “Abhagyanagar” due to the increasing presence of illegal immigrants.
Rao pointed out that even smaller towns like Sadashivpet are facing similar issues, citing the arrest of 20 Bangladeshi nationals in January.
He further alleged that southern states, including Telangana, are witnessing a rise in illegal infiltration by Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. Criticizing the previous UPA government, Rao accused it of compromising national security for political gains.
