MPs credit CM Chandrababu and Deputy CM Pawan for securing funds
Leaders express confidence in rapid development under coalition rule
In a significant boost to the capital city’s development, the Centre has released ₹4,200 crore for Amaravati. The funds, provided with the backing of the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), mark a major step forward in Andhra Pradesh’s capital development efforts after the formation of the coalition government.
Following multiple visits to Delhi by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and persistent follow-ups with Union ministers, the central government has responded by releasing the long-awaited funds. The move is being seen as a direct outcome of the proactive efforts by CM Chandrababu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan to revive stalled projects and put Amaravati back on the path of planned urban development.
Coalition party MPs welcomed the Centre’s decision and highlighted the leadership’s commitment to the state's growth. They emphasized that both Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan have been instrumental in bringing national focus back to Andhra Pradesh’s capital and its infrastructure needs.
In addition to Amaravati, the Centre has also extended cooperation for other major projects in the state, including the Polavaram irrigation project and the revival of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. Leaders from the coalition said these steps indicate a renewed commitment from the central government towards the holistic development of Andhra Pradesh.
They expressed confidence that, with continuous support from the Centre and the active leadership of the state government, Andhra Pradesh is poised for rapid development and economic revival under the coalition rule.
