BRS leaders attend Iftar dinner hosted by Manne Govardhan Reddy
Former Minister Harish Rao criticized the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government for allegedly neglecting Muslim welfare by not providing Ramadan gifts. Speaking at an Iftar dinner hosted by Khairatabad BRS in-charge Manne Govardhan Reddy at Banjara Hills Lakeview Banjara on Friday, Harish Rao accused the government of breaking promises made to various communities.
Former Home Minister Mahmood Ali and Harish Rao attended the event as chief guests. Harish Rao expressed disappointment over the government's failure to distribute Bathukamma sarees to women and Ramadan gifts to Muslims, which he described as a betrayal of the community's expectations.
He highlighted that previous administrations, such as the KCR government, ensured gifts were distributed during Ramadan, promoting joy and harmony among Muslim families. Rao emphasized that Iftars symbolize religious unity and harmony among all communities.
Corporator Manne Kavita Reddy and local BRS leaders also participated in the Iftar event.
