₹3.04 lakh crore budget presented

Major focus on welfare, education, and agriculture

₹40,232 crore allocated for SC welfare

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka presented the state budget for 2025-26 in the Assembly with an outlay of ₹3,04,965 crore. The budget prioritizes welfare schemes, agriculture, education, and infrastructure development.

The government allocated ₹24,439 crore for the Agriculture Department, ₹18,000 crore for Farmers Insurance, and ₹23,373 crore for Irrigation. The Electricity sector received ₹21,221 crore, while ₹12,393 crore was set aside for Health. Education was given ₹23,108 crore, including ₹11,600 crore for Integrated Schools. The Industrial Sector was allocated ₹3,525 crore.

For law and order, ₹10,188 crore was assigned to the Home Department. Panchayati Raj and Rural Development received ₹31,605 crore, while ₹17,677 crore was earmarked for Municipality and Urban Development. ₹150 crore was set aside for Hyderabad City Development.

In the welfare sector, ₹40,232 crore was allocated for Scheduled Castes (SC), ₹17,169 crore for Scheduled Tribes (ST), ₹11,405 crore for Backward Classes (BC), and ₹3,591 crore for Minorities. The Indiramma Housing scheme received ₹22,500 crore, while ₹3,000 crore was allocated for Griha Jyoti and free electricity for government educational institutions.

Other allocations include ₹5,907 crore for Research and Development, ₹775 crore for Tourism, ₹774 crore for IT, and ₹465 crore each for Culture and Sports. The budget reflects the government's emphasis on economic growth, social welfare, and infrastructure development.
