Suryapet police have issued a lookout notice against YouTube influencer and bike rider Sunny Yadav in connection with a case involving the promotion of betting apps. A case was registered against him at Nutankal police station on the 5th of this month. He is currently abroad, and authorities suspect that he may have crossed into Pakistan via the Wagah border.
With the lookout notice in place, immigration authorities will detain him upon his return to India. Sunny Yadav is accused of promoting betting apps through his social media platforms, allegedly influencing youth to engage in online betting, leading to financial losses. Reports suggest that he has earned substantial amounts from these promotions.
The case is part of a broader crackdown on betting app endorsements, spearheaded by RTC MD VC Sajjanar, which has led to action against multiple celebrities. The Nutankal police have booked Sunny Yadav under sections 111(2), 318(4), 46 R/W 61(2), BNS 3, 4, TSGA 66-C, 66-D, and ITA 2000-2008.
Meanwhile, Sunny Yadav has approached the court for anticipatory bail through his lawyers. The police continue their efforts to locate and apprehend him.
