Two massive earthquakes that struck Myanmar and Thailand on Friday have resulted in a staggering death toll of over 1,000. Official sources report that the combined death toll continues to rise as rescue operations progress.
According to Myanmar's military authorities, 1,002 people have died within the country. Additionally, 2,370 people have been injured, with many trapped under rubble as rescue workers strive to save lives.
In Bangkok, Thailand, 10 deaths have been confirmed, and over 100 construction workers are missing following the collapse of a large building. Authorities fear the number of casualties may rise as search and rescue efforts continue.
Countries worldwide are extending their sympathies and support to the disaster-stricken nations. India has already dispatched 15 tons of relief materials, including food, medicines, tents, blankets, water purifiers, and generators.
Rescue operations are ongoing, with international aid pouring in to assist Myanmar and Thailand during this tragic period.
