As part of the Mana Illu - Mana Lokesh initiative, Minister for Education, IT and Electronics Nara Lokesh distributed house documents to residents of Penumaka, Undavalli, and Ippatam villages at a program held in Don Bosco School, Yarrabalem in Tadepalli mandal. He reiterated his commitment to turning Mangalagiri into a symbol of development across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Lokesh stated that granting house documents has been a long-standing demand of the people, and he was proud to fulfill the promise within 10 months of forming the government. Explaining the phased approach, he said 3,000 documents would be given in the first phase, followed by those residing on endowment and railway lands, and finally, those on forest and irrigation lands. He added that the process was conducted transparently, eliminating the previous burden of paying for document copies.

Reflecting on his journey, Lokesh said, “The decision to contest from Mangalagiri changed my life.” Despite the loss in 2019, he worked relentlessly for the constituency—introducing initiatives like free medicines under NTR Sanjeevani, tailoring training for women, sports infrastructure, wedding aid for the poor, and telemedicine with US-based doctors.

He emotionally recalled how many mocked his defeat but said that the people’s support in the recent election, where he won by a majority of 91,000 votes, restored his dignity. “There was no sound from the other side for the blow you struck,” he quipped.

Lokesh announced that tenders are underway for infrastructure works such as underground drainage, piped gas, electricity, and water supply, and works will begin in June. Plans are also afoot for the development of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple and cremation grounds under Maha Prasthanam.

He proudly mentioned that the 100-bed government hospital proposal was approved in the second cabinet meeting, and the foundation stone will be laid on the 13th of this month. Lokesh affirmed that his focus remains on systematic and sustainable development of Mangalagiri with the full support of the people.
