Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation outlining the state's roadmap for comprehensive reforms in the medical and health sector. Emphasizing the rising burden of medical expenses and increasing disease prevalence, the CM said that the government is determined to improve healthcare accessibility and infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh.

Citing data from recent health surveys, CM Chandrababu pointed out that heart-related ailments are significantly higher in the Konaseema and Kakinada regions. In response, the government has proposed the construction of multi-specialty hospitals in each constituency to decentralize healthcare and ensure advanced treatment is available at the local level.

A key highlight of the presentation was the proposal to establish a Mega Global Health City in Amaravati, envisioned as a hub for cutting-edge medical services and health tourism. The CM stated that the city would attract international patients and foster medical collaborations, boosting both the healthcare and tourism sectors.

Further, the government is working on initiatives to equip hospitals with modern infrastructure and human resources, particularly in rural and underserved areas. CM Chandrababu stressed that the administration is also focusing on preventive healthcare and awareness to reduce disease incidence over the long term.

These announcements form part of the coalition government's larger mission to transform Andhra Pradesh into a model state for public health and medical innovation.
