The Guntur Civil Court has granted permission for the CID police to take film actor and former YSRCP leader Posani Krishna Murali into their custody. Following the court's order on Monday, CID officials took Posani into custody on Tuesday.
Authorities stated that Posani was first taken to Guntur Government General Hospital (GGH) for medical tests before being shifted to the CID office for questioning. The case pertains to inappropriate comments made by Posani against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, along with the display of morphed images before the media.
Based on complaints filed by leaders of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Jana Sena Party (JSP), the CID registered a case and sought court approval to take Posani into custody for further investigation. He was previously lodged in the Guntur district jail in connection with the case.
