Govt Ensures Direct Pension Deposit for Disabled Students in AP

The Andhra Pradesh government has introduced a major reform to assist disabled students receiving social pensions by ensuring direct deposit into their bank accounts. This decision aims to eliminate the difficulties faced by students residing in Gurukuls and hostels in accessing their pensions.

Previously, many disabled students had to leave their hostels and travel long distances to collect their pensions, causing inconvenience and additional expenses. Recognizing this issue, the government has now decided to streamline the process by depositing the pension amount directly into their accounts.

This move is expected to benefit around 10,000 disabled students across the state, providing them with financial security and reducing the burden on their families. The initiative aligns with the government’s broader efforts to improve welfare schemes and ensure efficient disbursement of financial aid to those in need.

Officials stated that the new system would be implemented immediately, and necessary instructions have been given to the concerned departments to facilitate a smooth transition. Beneficiaries will be informed about the direct deposit system to ensure they can access their pensions without difficulty.

With this reform, the government aims to make social welfare benefits more accessible and remove bureaucratic hurdles, reaffirming its commitment to supporting disabled students in their education and daily lives.
