Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday made a strong appeal to the Bihar government, demanding immediate employment opportunities for the state’s youth. Addressing a massive rally in Begusarai organized by the National Students' Union of India (NSUI), Rahul Gandhi urged officials and politicians not to run away from their responsibilities.
The rally was led by NSUI National Incharge and senior Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar. Drawing attention to the severe unemployment crisis in Bihar, Rahul Gandhi questioned why local youth are being forced to seek jobs elsewhere when opportunities could be generated within the state itself.
“Why aren’t jobs being given to Bihar’s youth? They are educated, hardworking, and ready to write their own destiny,” said Rahul Gandhi, emphasizing the need for immediate corrective measures from the ruling leadership. He alleged that instead of addressing core issues like education, employment, and infrastructure, the government is diverting public attention with false propaganda.
With assembly elections approaching in Bihar later this year, the Congress party has begun energizing its grassroots structure. The party recently appointed new presidents for 40 organizational districts in the state, signaling a sharpened focus on electoral readiness.
Sources in the Congress party say that more such rallies and youth engagement programs will be conducted in the coming months as part of a larger effort to highlight employment, education, and governance failures in the state.
