MLC Kavitha’s Sensational Attack on Pawan Kalyan: "His Deputy CM Post Is AP’s Misfortune"
Kavitha says Pawan is not a serious politician, calls his rise unfortunate
Alleges that he allied with all parties except YSRCP
Accuses him of ideological inconsistency and political opportunism
BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha made sharp and controversial comments on Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, calling his appointment a misfortune for the people of the state. In a bold interview with a media outlet, which is now going viral on social media, Kavitha accused Pawan of lacking seriousness in politics and shifting ideological stands purely for power.
“Pawan Kalyan is not a serious politician. His becoming the Deputy CM is the misfortune of Andhra Pradesh,” said Kavitha. She alleged that Pawan Kalyan has joined hands with every party except the YSRCP, and that his political journey has been marked by opportunistic alliances.
She reminded viewers that Pawan initially projected himself as a left-wing leader, even claiming to follow Che Guevara and allying with CPI and CPM. “But he soon abandoned that ideology, leaned towards Hindutva, and finally settled with the BJP,” she said, adding that Pawan’s political behavior has been inconsistent and self-serving.
Responding to Pawan’s recent remarks about promoting Hindi, Kavitha questioned the actor-turned-politician’s commitment to linguistic and cultural diversity. “Tomorrow, he might go to Tamil Nadu and say Hindi should not be imposed there. That’s the level of inconsistency in his statements,” she mocked.
The comments have stirred a political storm across Telugu states, with supporters and critics fiercely debating the statements on social media platforms.
