The Andhra Pradesh government has entrusted former ISRO chief S. Somnath with key responsibilities, appointing him as the honorary advisor for space technology. In this role, he will provide guidance on industries, research, smart cities, disaster management, satellites, and remote sensing communication technology.
Alongside him, forensic expert KPC Gandhi has been appointed as the advisor for the Andhra Pradesh Forensic Science Laboratory.
Additionally, AP Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy issued orders appointing Bharat Biotech MD Suchitra Ella and former DRDO chief G. Satish Reddy as honorary advisors for the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing Hub, as well as for handlooms and handicrafts.
All of them will serve in advisory roles equivalent to cabinet positions for two years, contributing their expertise to the state’s development initiatives.
