Preparations are in full swing at the Simhachalam Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple for the grand annual event of Nijaroopa Darshanam (real appearance) of Appanna Swamy and the Chandanotsavam (sandalwood festival), scheduled for April 30. As thousands of devotees are expected to witness the rare occasion, temple authorities have begun ticket sales from today.
Executive Officer K. Subbarao announced that devotees can obtain special darshan tickets priced at ₹300 and ₹1000 from April 24 to 29. These tickets are available at several designated centers around Simhachalam and Visakhapatnam, including the old PRO office on Simhagiri (7 AM to 7 PM), Union Bank and State Bank branches at Simhachalam (9 AM to 7 PM), Akkayyapalem and Maharanipet Union Bank branches, Birla Junction, and SBI offices in Saligramapuram during working hours.
For the convenience of outstation devotees, tickets can also be booked online via the official temple website at www.aptemples.ap.gov.in. EO Subbarao made it clear that no tickets will be issued after April 29.
Free darshan arrangements have also been made, with a separate queue line to manage the expected heavy footfall. The temple administration has taken extensive measures to ensure smooth crowd management, adequate facilities, and hassle-free darshan for devotees attending this spiritually significant event.
