Vishwak Sen Caught in Controversy Again, But This Time Without Involvement

February 11, 2025 – Actor Vishwak Sen seems to have found himself at the center of controversy once again, just ahead of the release of his much-anticipated film Laila (scheduled for February 14).

Known for stirring discussions due to bold statements and viral incidents in the past, Vishwak Sen’s films often attract attention even before hitting the screens. However, this time, the controversy surrounding Laila does not involve the actor directly.

The issue stemmed from remarks made by veteran actor ’30 Years’ Prithviraj at the Laila pre-release event, which sparked outrage among supporters of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Prithviraj's comments were seen as offensive by many, and soon, a #BoycottLaila campaign gained traction on social media, with calls for the film to be boycotted due to the actor's statements.

In an attempt to control the fallout, Vishwak Sen and producer Sahu Garapati held a press conference to address the situation. They clarified that neither of them had prior knowledge of Prithviraj’s controversial comments and expressed regret over the incident. The duo requested the public not to hold the entire film crew accountable for the actions of one individual, highlighting the hard work that had gone into the film’s production.

Despite this effort to quell the controversy, YSRCP supporters expressed dissatisfaction, stating that it was Prithviraj himself who should have apologized personally at the press conference.

Although Vishwak Sen has previously been involved in controversies related to his films, in this case, he seems to have made headlines without directly contributing to the issue. It remains to be seen whether this controversy will affect the film’s reception or fade away in the coming days.
