Authorities Issue Public Health Advisory
East Godavari, February 11, 2025 – Authorities in East Godavari district have raised an alarm following the large-scale death of chickens in the region, which has been confirmed to be caused by bird flu.
In light of the outbreak, officials have issued a public health advisory, urging residents to exercise caution, particularly advising against the consumption of chicken for the time being and to limit poultry intake.
As part of the response, health and veterinary teams have conducted tests on samples collected from multiple poultry farms across the district. A sample from a poultry farm in Kanuru village was found to be positive for the bird flu virus, further confirming the outbreak in the region.
