Ram Charan’s Upcoming Film Inspired by Legendary Wrestler Kodi Rammurthy Naidu?

February 11, 2025 – After the mixed reception of his previous film Game Changer, Ram Charan is focused on delivering a powerful performance in his next project, which is expected to be a game-changer in his career. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and co-starring Janhvi Kapoor, the film is being produced by Satish Kilari, with music composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman.

The team has recently completed another schedule in Hyderabad, having wrapped up nearly 25 days of shooting. With an ambitious production plan in place, the makers are targeting a release during the Dussehra festival or Sankranti next year.

Set against a period-action backdrop, the film has a strong rural connection, and sources have revealed that Ram Charan will be playing the role of a wrestler. This has sparked speculation that the character might be inspired by the life of Kodi Rammurthy Naidu, the legendary Telugu wrestler known for his contribution to the sport.

According to the reports, Ram Charan’s character is said to hail from Veeraghattam, Srikakulam, which is Naidu’s birthplace. The storyline reportedly follows his journey as he undergoes intense wrestling training before representing India in international competitions, much like the legendary wrestler’s own story.

The action sequences in the film are expected to be a highlight, with a globally renowned fight choreographer set to work on them. The film is currently being developed under the working title Peddi, though it is expected to be finalized as the official title soon.

The filmmakers are committed to making this project a landmark film in Ram Charan’s career, aiming to create a lasting impact with a gripping story and stunning performances. Fans are eagerly awaiting more updates about this exciting new chapter for the actor.
