Investigation Underway in Viveka Murder Case
Jail Threats to Dastagiri Being Probed
Kadapa, February 11, 2025 – The investigation into the threats faced by Dastagiri, the approver in the high-profile Viveka murder case, is progressing, with authorities focusing on allegations of intimidation while Dastagiri is lodged in Kadapa Jail.
The threats, reportedly originating from Dr. Chaitanya Reddy, are being thoroughly examined by jail officials and the inquiry team.
Rahul, the Rajahmundry Central Jail Superintendent, has been appointed as the inquiry officer for this case. Over the past few days, Rahul has conducted investigations within Kadapa Jail, questioning key individuals connected to the incident.
A significant development in the probe came when BTech Ravi, a prominent TDP leader, was questioned by Rahul. Dastagiri and Ravi had been housed in adjacent barracks within Kadapa Jail. Ravi confirmed that he had witnessed Dr. Chaitanya Reddy entering Dastagiri's barrack during their time in custody. Ravi immediately raised concerns with the jail staff about Reddy's unexpected presence in the area.
As part of the investigation, Rahul has already interrogated Dr. Chaitanya Reddy and Kadapa Jail Superintendent Prakash, as well as the jail staff, to get to the bottom of the alleged threats and determine if any jail protocols were violated.
The case continues to draw attention, as the investigation into these alleged threats is seen as a key element in the ongoing Viveka murder case proceedings. Authorities are working to ensure the safety of Dastagiri, whose testimony is crucial to the investigation.
