Home team Gujarat Titans (GT) secured their first win of the season with a commanding 36-run victory against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Chasing a target of 197 runs set by Gujarat, Mumbai Indians managed only 160 runs in their allotted 20 overs.
Batting first, Gujarat Titans posted a formidable total of 196 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Sai Sudarshan top-scored with 63 runs, while captain Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler contributed 38 and 39 runs, respectively. Among Mumbai's bowlers, Hardik Pandya claimed two wickets, while Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar, Mujeeb Rahman, and Satyanarayana Raju picked up a wicket each.
Mumbai Indians, in response, struggled to chase the target, ending their innings at 160 for 6. Suryakumar Yadav was the top scorer with 48 runs, followed by Tilak Verma with 39. Captain Hardik Pandya managed only 11, while Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 8. Gujarat’s bowling attack was led by Mohammed Siraj and Paridhin Krishna, who took two wickets each.
