Dhoni Creates Record in IPL, Kohli Achieves Rare Feat Against CSK
Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni has set a remarkable record in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by becoming the highest run-scorer for CSK. During the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Chepauk, Dhoni scored an unbeaten 30 runs in 16 balls, taking his tally to 4,699 runs from 236 matches for Chennai.
In doing so, Dhoni surpassed the previous record held by Suresh Raina, who scored 4,687 runs in 176 matches for CSK. Other top scorers for CSK include Faf du Plessis (2,721 runs), Ruturaj Gaikwad (2,433 runs), and Ambati Rayudu (1,932 runs).
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli achieved a unique feat by becoming the batsman with the most runs against CSK in IPL history. Kohli has now scored 1,084 runs in 33 innings against CSK, surpassing the previous record of 1,057 runs held by Shikhar Dhawan. Following them are Rohit Sharma (896 runs), Dinesh Karthik (727 runs), and David Warner (696 runs). Kohli scored 31 runs in 30 balls during the match.
RCB defeated CSK by 50 runs in the IPL match held at Chepauk yesterday. After setting a target of 197 runs with a score of 196/7, Bangalore’s bowlers restricted Chennai to 146/8 in their 20 overs.
