Siddhivinayak Temple Introduces Dress Code: Short Skirts & Revealing Attire Banned

Mumbai, Jan 29: The Siddhivinayak Temple Trust has implemented a dress code for devotees, which will take effect next week. Visitors will now be required to wear traditional Indian attire, ensuring full coverage while inside the temple premises.

The Shri Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple Trust (SSGTT) announced that devotees wearing short skirts, torn jeans, transparent outfits, or revealing clothing will not be allowed entry. This decision was made following multiple complaints from devotees who felt uncomfortable due to visitors wearing Western-style clothing.

A trust official stated, “The temple is a place of worship, and visitors must maintain decorum. Hence, devotees wearing inappropriate attire will not be permitted inside.”

This move aligns with similar dress code rules enforced in various temples across India, emphasizing cultural and religious traditions.
