Virat Kohli Prepares for Ranji Trophy, Faces Tough Challenge from Navdeep Saini

New Delhi, Jan 29: Indian cricket star Virat Kohli is gearing up for his Ranji Trophy comeback after more than a decade, but his practice session at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi proved to be a challenging one. Facing Navdeep Saini and Siddhant Sharma, both of whom are currently out of the Indian team, Kohli struggled to find his rhythm against their fast deliveries.

The former India captain, who last played Ranji Trophy in 2012, batted for about 25 minutes against five bowlers—Mani Grewal, Navdeep Saini, Rahul Gehlot, Siddhant Sharma, and Vivek Gulshan. Initially, he found it difficult to counter their pace and movement.

Before facing the pacers, Kohli also practiced against three spinnersHarsh Tyagi, Sumit Mathur, and Shivam—during a 30-minute session.

The star batsman is looking to regain form after a disappointing performance in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. In the upcoming Ranji Trophy match, he will represent Delhi, hoping to make an impact.
