With the 72nd Miss World competition set to take place in Hyderabad, Telangana government official Smita Sabharwal expressed pride in hosting the prestigious global event. Speaking at a pre-event gathering, she emphasized how Hyderabad has become even more beautiful with the arrival of international contestants and dignitaries.
Sabharwal highlighted Telangana’s rich cultural and historical heritage, describing it as Trilinga Desam, a land deeply connected to spiritual and linguistic traditions. She further stated that Telangana is the birthplace of the Telugu language, playing a crucial role in preserving and promoting the linguistic and literary wealth of the region.
As the city welcomes delegates from around the world, Hyderabad is set to showcase its vibrant culture, history, and modern infrastructure, ensuring a grand and memorable edition of the Miss World pageant.
