Narrow roads, a growing number of vehicles, rash driving, and traffic rule violations are seen as major causes of the rising accidents.
In a tragic incident, a severe road accident occurred in Manikonda. A father was on his Activa scooter, taking his 10-year-old daughter to school, when a speeding lorry collided with their vehicle. The impact caused the daughter to fall under the lorry, leading to her instant death, while the father sustained minor injuries.
The accident resulted in a massive traffic jam in the area. Initial reports suggest negligence by the lorry driver as the cause of the accident. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
