In response to the brutal terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, YSR Congress Party (YCP) president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has called for candlelight peace rallies across all district headquarters in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday evening.
Jagan, who had earlier expressed his deep condolences to the families of those killed, termed the attack a “cowardly act” that targeted innocent civilians. He urged party leaders, workers, and the public to participate in the rallies as a mark of solidarity and to send a clear message against terrorism.
The candlelight events will take place simultaneously in all major towns and cities across the state. YCP has invited the general public to join hands in these peaceful demonstrations to honor the victims and uphold the values of unity and peace.
Party leaders have also been directed to ensure that the rallies remain peaceful and respectful, in line with the spirit of national mourning.
