The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather warning for both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, forecasting rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms in several districts today and tomorrow. As the summer heat continues to grip the region, these weather conditions are expected to provide much-needed relief to the people.
In Telangana, districts like Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Khammam, Janagaon, Siddipet, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Nalgonda, Karimnagar, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalapalli, Hanumakonda, Warangal, Nagarkurnool, and Komurambheem are likely to experience thunderstorms and lightning, with some areas facing isolated heavy downpours.
Meanwhile, in Andhra Pradesh, light rains and thundershowers are expected in coastal and interior districts, including Anakapalle, Annamayya, Parvathipuram Manyam, Srikakulam, Kakinada, Konaseema, Sri Sathya Sai, Eluru, East Godavari, and YSR districts.
The IMD has also warned that the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh may experience high tides, prompting the AP State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) to issue an advisory for fishermen, urging them not to venture into the sea during this period.
With the rain expected to cool the region, the weather update brings a welcome break to the ongoing hot conditions.
