In a heartwarming and heroic act, Dr. Preethi Reddy, daughter-in-law of former Minister Mallareddy, saved the life of a 74-year-old passenger who collapsed mid-air on an IndiGo flight on Saturday night.
The incident occurred when the elderly man suddenly fainted during the flight. According to eyewitnesses, he became severely unwell with fluid leaking from his mouth and showed signs of dangerously low blood pressure.
Dr. Preethi Reddy, who was also on board, quickly assessed the situation and sprang into action. Realizing the seriousness of the condition, she performed CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) on the spot, stabilizing the passenger until further help could be provided.
Thanks to her swift intervention, the man regained consciousness and was kept under close watch until the flight landed. Upon landing, the airport medical team, already alerted in advance, rushed the patient to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
