Gannavaram court granted one-day custody on Friday
YCP leader and former Gannavaram MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi has been taken into one-day police custody in connection with the Atkur land grab case in Krishna district. Following a medical examination, Vamsi was shifted to the Kankipadu police station, where he is currently being interrogated.
The decision for police custody was granted by the Gannavaram court on Friday. The Ungutur police registered a case against Vamsi based on a complaint filed by Sridhar Reddy, pertaining to a land dispute within the Atkur PS limits.
It is noteworthy that Vamsi is already on remand in Vijayawada jail related to the Gannavaram TDP office attack case. The police are expected to continue their questioning and gather further details about the allegations surrounding the Atkur land dispute.
