Stampede at Kumbh Mela: Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan Expresses Deep Sorrow

Prayagraj, Jan 30 – A tragic stampede at the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj has resulted in the loss of around 20 lives, with several others injured. The incident occurred during the sacred bath at Triveni Sangam on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, when millions of devotees gathered at the pilgrimage site.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has expressed deep sorrow over the incident, terming it highly distressing and unfortunate. He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Pawan Kalyan also urged pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana attending the Kumbh Mela to strictly follow safety protocols and adhere to the guidelines set by officials to avoid further mishaps.

The Uttar Pradesh government has deployed emergency response teams, and rescue operations are currently underway to manage the situation and provide medical aid to the injured. Authorities have also intensified crowd control measures to prevent further incidents.
