Sports Competitions for MLAs and MLCs Begin in Vijayawada
Competitions in 13 disciplines at Indira Gandhi Stadium

Sports competitions for MLAs and MLCs have begun today at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Vijayawada. These three-day games were inaugurated by AP Assembly Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu, Deputy Speaker Raghuramakrishna Raju, Ministers Anitha and Nadendla Manohar, who participated in the Jyoti lighting ceremony.
State Sports Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy supervised the event arrangements in coordination with SHAP Chairman Ravi Naidu. He revealed that 140 out of 175 MLAs and 13 out of 58 MLCs have registered to take part in the competitions.
Since CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan are heading to Delhi this evening, they are expected to attend the event tomorrow or the following day. CM Chandrababu will present prizes to the winners.
The competitions include cricket, kabaddi, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, throwball, athletics, and more, with events being held across 13 sports disciplines. The tournament aims to encourage sportsmanship among public representatives and promote fitness in leadership.
