Mithun Reddy Demands Apology from Chandrababu Naidu
Amaravati, Jan 30: YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy has strongly condemned the allegations made against his father regarding land encroachment and financial irregularities. He criticized the Eenadu media group for publishing reports without verifying the facts, calling it an unjust act.
Speaking at an event in Punganur constituency, Mithun Reddy stated, “We purchased 175 acres of land in Mangalampeta. We built sheds on that land to protect native cows and prevent them from being sent to slaughterhouses. However, Chandrababu Naidu is engaging in ‘diversion politics’ and is trying to defame us.”
Allegations and Response
- According to revenue records, the land in question is private property, and official documents confirm this.
- The market value of the land is ₹4 lakh per acre, making the total worth less than ₹3 crore, contrary to the allegations of illegal occupation.
- Mithun Reddy accused Chandrababu Naidu of political vendetta, claiming that he is using false cases to harass them.
Legal and Historical Records
- The Central Government Gazette of 1968 already classified this land as non-forest land.
- In 1981, the Director of Land Settlement officially confirmed that the land is not forest land but patta land, based on revenue records.
Challenge to Chandrababu Naidu
Mithun Reddy warned Chandrababu Naidu, stating, "Without proper analysis, he is making baseless allegations and ordering unnecessary inquiries. Just because you are in power now, it does not mean you can misuse it. Our turn will come too."
He further challenged Naidu to prove the allegations or issue a public apology.
"The more you try to corner us, the stronger we will fight back. We are not afraid," Mithun Reddy asserted.
