KTR’s Dig at Revanth Reddy, Asks Chandrababu to Clarify Telangana’s Growth

Hyderabad, Jan 28: Telangana’s BRS Working President and former minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) took to social media platform 'X' (formerly Twitter) to address Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu while indirectly commenting on Telangana Congress Chief A. Revanth Reddy.

KTR highlighted Telangana's remarkable rise as the Indian state with the highest per capita income over the last decade, attributing the milestone to progressive governance policies implemented by the Telangana government. He further shared a video clip of Chandrababu Naidu praising Telangana’s developmental achievements.

KTR’s Tweet

"Thank you, Chandrababu Garu. Kindly help your former disciple, who seems unable to digest this fact, gain some awareness on the matter," KTR tweeted, referring to Revanth Reddy, who once worked closely with Chandrababu Naidu in the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) before joining the Congress.

Telangana’s Growth and Recognition

Over the past decade, Telangana has emerged as a prominent state in terms of economic growth, infrastructure development, and welfare schemes. KTR’s tweet emphasized these achievements, which have become a point of political debate between ruling and opposition parties in Telangana.

Reactions Across Political Lines

  • BRS Leaders: They have rallied around KTR’s statement, asserting that Telangana’s governance model under K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has set benchmarks for other states.
  • Congress Supporters: They have dismissed the remarks as political rhetoric, claiming Revanth Reddy has consistently challenged the state’s governance issues.
  • Public Interest: The video of Chandrababu Naidu acknowledging Telangana’s progress has stirred discussions, with many drawing comparisons between the governance models of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Background

Revanth Reddy has often been a vocal critic of the BRS government, accusing it of mismanagement and corruption. KTR’s latest remarks appear to be a direct response to Revanth’s allegations and a move to highlight Telangana’s developmental strides.

As the Telangana Assembly elections approach, this exchange between prominent leaders underscores the heightened political competition in the state.
