In a unique move towards curbing illegal and anti-social activities, Krishna District Police have intensified surveillance using drone cameras. As part of this operation, police recently apprehended two individuals caught consuming alcohol behind an engineering college in the Gudivada area.

The incident came to light after drone footage captured the duo in the act. The video quickly went viral on social media platforms, sparking discussions on the use of modern technology for public safety enforcement.

Responding to the viral video, Andhra Pradesh IT and Rural Development Minister Nara Lokesh took to ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) and reacted in a humorous tone. Sharing the video, Lokesh posted, “Sorry guys.. I can’t help,” drawing laughter and wide engagement online. His lighthearted response has garnered appreciation from netizens for combining seriousness with wit.

Police officials confirmed that surveillance efforts using drones will continue in other parts of the district as well, especially around educational institutions and public spaces prone to such activities.
