GV Reddy Slams Sakshi Over False Reports on Chandrababu in Fiber Net Case
Amaravati, Jan 30: Andhra Pradesh Fiber Net Chairman GV Reddy has strongly criticized Sakshi Media, accusing it of spreading false news regarding the Fiber Net case and former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
He stated that the court had dismissed the charge sheet filed by the CID against Chandrababu, but Sakshi continued publishing misleading reports.
GV Reddy alleged that former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy misused power to fabricate cases against Chandrababu. He claimed that in the Fiber Net case, the initial complaint was filed by Gautam Reddy, but the FIR falsely mentioned Terasoft MD Vemuri Hariprasad as the complainant. He added that Hariprasad was harassed with fake cases, and there was a caste-based conspiracy to implicate Chandrababu Naidu.
GV Reddy further stated that Chandrababu’s name was added to the case only after the investigation started, despite it not being included in the original complaint. He emphasized that the CID’s charge sheet was rejected by the court, but Sakshi published fabricated news, falsely claiming that authorities provided incriminating statements against Chandrababu.
He questioned whether officials should work only in favor of the ruling party, highlighting that the coalition government had given postings to officials from the YSRCP era, but that doesn’t mean they should act with bias. He urged the CID to consider filing a defamation case against Sakshi for tarnishing the reputation of government officials.
Additionally, GV Reddy mentioned that filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma had been served notices over financial irregularities related to the screening of his film ‘Vyooham’. He revealed that Varma acknowledged receiving the notices but claimed that he did not have the money to pay the required dues in the case.
