CM Chandrababu Sets His Focus on Ministers' PAs and Performance, Tightens Surveillance

In a bid to maintain the reputation of the Andhra Pradesh government, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has initiated stringent surveillance over the personal assistants (PAs) of state ministers. The move comes after a series of allegations surrounding the conduct of some ministers' PAs, with CM Naidu expressing serious concern over individuals tarnishing the government's image. He made it clear that there would be no tolerance for those who cause trouble for the people or the leadership.

The government has started focusing on monitoring the activities of ministers' PAs, with tensions rising among the ministers. The most recent incident involves Jagadeesh, the private assistant to Home Minister Anitha. Jagadeesh has faced severe allegations of illegal collections, corruption, and misconduct. Following these allegations, he was removed from his duties. Anitha, while addressing the issue, stated that she had no place for those involved in illegal activities, confirming that Jagadeesh had been sidelined.

Furthermore, intelligence reports are being prepared regarding the performance and private assistants of other ministers, including those from North Andhra, Guntur, and Konaseema. Allegations have surfaced regarding corruption and irregularities involving certain ministerial staff. Sources suggest that complaints from second-tier leaders of the TDP during the Chief Minister’s 'Praja Darbar' (public hearing) prompted CM Naidu to take action.

As the coalition government in Andhra Pradesh completes its six-month tenure, CM Naidu has addressed the ministers' performance during a recent Cabinet meeting. He reportedly mentioned that he had information about each minister's performance and issued subtle warnings to those not meeting expectations. In the coming days, more ministers and their associates may come under scrutiny, with ongoing discussions within the government about taking further corrective actions.

CM Naidu's decisive steps aim to ensure that those damaging the reputation of the government are swiftly dealt with, sending a strong message against corruption and misconduct within the state administration.
