CM Chandrababu Orders Probe into Land Encroachment Allegations Against Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy

Amaravati, Jan 30 – Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has ordered a high-level inquiry into the alleged land encroachment by former minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. The decision comes amid reports that a large area of forest land in Chittoor district has been illegally occupied.

Special Committee Formed for Investigation

In response, the government has set up a joint committee to conduct a comprehensive probe. The committee members include:
Chittoor District Collector Sumit
Superintendent of Police Manikanta Chandolu
Anantapur Conservator of Forests Yashoda Bai

This special panel has been tasked with conducting an extensive investigation and submitting a detailed report. Based on the findings, the state government will take necessary legal action.

Preliminary Findings Indicate Large-Scale Encroachment

According to preliminary reports, nearly 75 acres of forest land have been illegally occupied, allegedly for private development. Sources indicate that a luxury estate, guest house, and private road were built within the forested area.

The Chief Minister has made it clear that encroachments on government and forest lands will not be tolerated, signaling strict action against those involved. The final report from the investigating committee is expected to shape the next course of legal and administrative steps in this high-profile case.
