Challa Dhananjaya Appointed as Additional Solicitor General of Andhra Pradesh High Court

Amaravati, Jan 28: The Union Ministry of Law and Justice has officially appointed Challa Dhananjaya, a senior advocate of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, as the Additional Solicitor General (ASG).

The appointment, approved by President Droupadi Murmu, was announced in a notification released on Monday. Dhananjaya will represent the Union Government in the Andhra Pradesh High Court for a tenure of three years.

Distinguished Legal Career

Challa Dhananjaya hails from Bheemavaram in the erstwhile West Godavari district. A graduate of the Andhra University College of Law, he began his legal career in 1983, practicing in Rajamahendravaram before shifting to the High Court in 1987. Over the years, Dhananjaya has built a reputation for his legal acumen, and in 2022, he was conferred the prestigious title of Senior Advocate by the Andhra Pradesh High Court, recognizing his significant contributions to the legal profession.

Role and Responsibilities

As the Additional Solicitor General, Challa Dhananjaya will be responsible for representing the Union Government in cases before the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
