On the occasion of the death anniversary of former Chief Minister and legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), Andhra Pradesh Deputy Speaker Raghuram Krishnam Raju paid his respects by offering floral tributes at the NTR Ghat in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Speaking after the ceremony, Raghuram Krishnam Raju made a significant demand, suggesting that awarding NTR the prestigious Bharat Ratna would enhance his honor and legacy. He expressed that if the Bharat Ratna is bestowed upon NTR, it would elevate the status of the award itself. Raghuram Krishnam Raju urged the Modi-led central government to take the initiative in this matter, asserting that NTR would certainly receive the Bharat Ratna, regardless of the circumstances.
Political leaders and TDP members across Andhra Pradesh have also been vocally demanding the Bharat Ratna for NTR, recognizing his immense contributions to Telugu cinema and politics.
