Horrific Road Accident in Vizianagaram: Bus Crashes Into Parked Lorry, 2 Dead, 15 Injured
In a tragic road accident in Vizianagaram district, two people lost their lives, and 15 others were injured when a bus collided with a stationary lorry on the National Highway near Madupada village in the Gajapathinagaram mandal.
The bus, which was en route to Visakhapatnam carrying patients from Malkajgiri (Odisha) for free medical treatment, crashed into the rear of the parked lorry. The impact was severe, and the bus was stuck for over two hours, causing significant distress among the passengers. Emergency services rushed to the scene, and the injured were transported to the district hospital, with five of them being in critical condition and later transferred to Visakhapatnam for better treatment.
At the time of the accident, 41 passengers were on the bus. Local authorities, along with the police, worked swiftly to clear the wreckage using cranes and facilitated the smooth flow of traffic. The incident highlights the dangers of driving at night and the importance of safety measures on highways.
