Minister Sandhya Rani Initiates 'Swarn Andhra - Swachh Andhra' Drive in Parvathipuram Manyam
In a significant move towards a cleaner and healthier Andhra Pradesh, State Minister for Women and Child Welfare and Tribal Welfare, Gummidi Sandhya Rani, launched the "Swarn Andhra - Swachh Andhra" program in Saluru, Parvathipuram Manyam district. Following the call of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Minister took to the streets with a broom to personally clean the roads, encouraging the public to participate in the cleanliness drive.
During the event, Minister Sandhya Rani highlighted the government's goal to make Andhra Pradesh the cleanest state in India. She stressed the importance of community engagement in environmental preservation, aiming to reduce pollution, improve public health, and create a welcoming environment for tourists and investors. She also emphasized the need for awareness programs on environmental cleanliness for children and future generations.
The program included clearing overgrown weeds, removing waste, and ensuring that all villages and towns maintain hygienic surroundings. Sandhya Rani urged everyone to contribute towards making Andhra Pradesh a model of cleanliness, emphasizing the need for improved sanitation facilities, clean drinking water, and waste management systems across the state.
