YS Sharmila Slams Amit Shah Over Ambedkar Remarks, Demands Apology

YS Sharmila, the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) chief, made explosive comments regarding Amit Shah, accusing him of insulting Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

She stated that due to these remarks, Amit Shah has no right to step into Andhra Pradesh. Sharmila strongly criticized the proposed visit of Amit Shah to the state, stating that the Congress Party would fiercely oppose his tour. She called on the party leadership to organize large-scale protests at Ambedkar statues and demanded that Amit Shah publicly apologize to the nation.

Sharmila further demanded that Amit Shah resign from his ministerial position, emphasizing that insulting the architect of the Indian Constitution equates to treason. She also condemned those who failed to denounce Amit Shah’s remarks, accusing them of betraying the nation. Sharmila warned that parties like TDP, Janasena, and YSRCP, which remain silent or align with such individuals, are also committing treason.

She urged the ruling parties in Andhra Pradesh, especially those representing Dalit, Bahujan, Adivasi, and Minority communities, to demand an apology from Amit Shah if they truly respect the values of Ambedkar.
