Victims alleged that they were cheated by a local salon that promised to regrow hair on bald heads using a special chemical treatment.
The commotion began after a post went viral on social media claiming that a former Bigg Boss contestant from Delhi had successfully regrown his hair at the same salon. Believing the hype, many people lined up outside the salon, hoping for similar results.
However, the alleged treatment involved shaving the heads of customers and applying a chemical solution. The victims reported that instead of hair growth, they experienced severe irritation and other side effects, prompting them to rush to the hospital for medical attention.
Despite the chaos and complaints, Kalapattar police stated that they had not yet received any formal complaint regarding the incident. However, they assured the public that action would be taken if a complaint is filed. The police also issued a stern warning, advising citizens not to fall for unverified claims made on social media.
The incident has once again highlighted the dangers of misleading online promotions and the urgent need for public awareness regarding fraudulent treatments. Authorities are urging people to verify health and cosmetic services with licensed professionals before undergoing any procedures.
